Our new year ahead will see a welcomed variety of learning extensions for our students.
In past years...
Our 5th graders have been active in our D.A.R. annual essay writing. This year's subject has yet to be determined. In the past, our Fifth grade students have the benefit of our returning volunteer retired History Professor, Dr. Needham to guide them through many first hand accounts of these wondrous treasures our country is celebrating. We will invite him to join us, again.
Our Writers Academy in the past, has had the benefit of our volunteer coaches if we have volunteers. Our writers have their chosen essays, poems or short stories based on the yearly prompt of the Young Authors annual IRL/IRA/NHRA contest. This has resulted over the with many Bellamy winners that went on to the county level. Then, we had two county winners who will go on to the state levels with their creativity.
Our year ahead will have many exciting opportunities for our students
