1. Go to classroom.google.com.
2. At the top, click Add Join class.
3. Type in your class code (found below)

OR...

Accept an invitation from your teacher

1. Go to classroom.google.com.
2. On the class card, click Join.
3. Invitations to join class will be sent to your school email address.

How to submit recordings to Google Classroom

Turn in an assignment

1. Go to classroom.google.com.
2. Click the class and then click the assignment.
3. Under Your work, click + Add or create Drive , Link , or File .
4. Select the attachment or enter the URL for a link and click Add.
5. To remove an attachment, click Remove .
6. (Optional) Under Private comments, add a private comment for your teacher and click Post. Videos and private comments will only be seen by Mrs. Medunick.
7. Click Turn In and confirm.

Class description

Orchestra will focus on developing instrumental playing technique, music literacy, and musicianship. We will explore healthy playing habits, music history, music theory, ear training, and various musical topics. Students will experience multiple, unique performance opportunities to demonstrate what they know while expressing themselves musically.

Materials needed

Instrument, music/method book, shoulder rest, rock stop, notebook, music folder, pencils

Expectations

• When you arrive to class check the board for our daily agenda and begin preparing immediately. You should be unpacked, seated, and ready to go within the first 5 mins of class!
• Arrive to class, rehearsals, and performances early enough to give yourself time to get set up and warmed up.
• Keep consistent practicing habits so that you are prepared.
• Give your silent attention during lessons and rehearsals unless directed to speak.
• Take responsibility for your materials, actions, and attitude.
• Instruments will be carefully stored in cases or on racks when not in use.
• If you are missing music, check with your stand partner first! If you are in need of a part leave a written request with your name, music title, and instrument in my request box on my desk.
• Keep nails trimmed so that your technique is not flawed and remove any jewelry that will negatively impact your ability to play properly. This will be a part of your daily grade!
• Be kind and supportive to each other and to yourselves!! We are a team and we are stronger if we stick together and build each other up!
• ALL students are expected to perform at scheduled concerts!!
