ABOUT Rocket Connections

Rocket Connections (Best Buddies) is an inclusive social and recreational club for students at Needham High School. The club is open to all students and is geared towards promoting and fostering social opportunities with the goal of building authentic friendships that go beyond the scope of the school setting.

Rocket Connections offers a variety of recreational and leisure activities both after school and on the weekends where students with and without disabilities can socialize and engage with one another in more authentic, meaningful ways.

Rocket Connections is affiliated with Best Buddies International:

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. It consists of volunteers that create opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The programs main purpose is to allow volunteers to be paired up with a buddy with a disability and provide them with a friend or a mentor. Founded in 1989 by Anthony Shriver , Best Buddies is an international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,500 college, high school and middle school campuses across the country and internationally.
