Officers
Co-President: Garrett Wood
Garrett Wood is Co-President of the club for the 2023-2024 school year. He is majoring in Economics and Statistics, with a minor in Actuarial Science. Garrett is from Denver, Colorado, but on campus, he is excited to be back in his Notre Dame home, Sorin College. This summer, he was working as an actuarial intern for Surest, a health insurance startup in Minneapolis. Garrett passed Exams P and FM. He will be taking Exams SRM and PA this year. A fun fact about him is that he is a triplet with two brothers at different colleges. Garrett is an avid sports fan who loves to spend time out on the golf course. In his spare time, he can be found cheering on the Irish, playing pickup basketball, or rattling off random sports knowledge. Garrett is excited to bring his passion for actuarial science to the club for a fun year!
Co-President: Andrew Johnson
Andrew is serving as the club's other Co-President for the 2023-2024 school year. He is a senior Economics and Statistics major with a minor in Actuarial Science. On campus Andrew lives in Duncan Hall, and he is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Andrew has passed Exams P, FM, and IFM. Last summer, he spent the summer in Minneapolis, MN as an Actuarial Intern at Allianz Life. Outside of the ASC, he plays trombone in the Notre Dame Marching Band, and is also in the concert band and basketball band. In his free time, you can find Andrew going for a run around campus or playing piano for Duncan Hall Mass. He is looking forward to a great year working with all of Notre Dame's aspiring actuaries!
Vice President: Kailey Matthews
Kailey is the Vice President for the 2023-2024 academic year. She is a senior majoring in Business Analytics with a minor in Actuarial Science. While Kailey is originally from Cedar Run, NJ, she lived in Lyons Hall before moving off-campus this year. At Notre Dame, Kailey is also the Vice President of Hesburgh’s Heroes. She passed Exam FM in August 2021 and Exam P in March 2022. During the summer, Kailey likes to spend time at the beach and with friends when she is not working. Kailey would be happy to answer any questions about class scheduling for Business majors & Actuarial Science minors, the exam process, and studying tips!
Treasurer: Danny Finch
Danny will serve as the Treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. He is a mathematics major with a concentration in computing and minor in actuarial science. He is originally from New Jersey but is living in Keough Hall. He has passed Exam P, Exam FM, and Exam SRM. He has interned at a pharmaceutical benefits management company in data analytics the past two summers. At Notre Dame, Danny is the VP of Keough Hall and the Event Planner of Notre Dame New Jersey Club. In his spare time, he enjoys working out and fantasy football. He is looking forward to another year working with Notre Dame's Actuarial Science Club!
Secretary: Qingdi (Cindy) Du
Qingdi (Cindy) Du is serving as the club's Secretary for the fall 2023 semester. She is a junior Business Analytics and ACMS major with a minor in Actuarial Science. CIndy passed Exam P and FM during summer 2022. On campus, Cindy lives in Farley Hall but she's originally from Beijing, China. Outside of ASC, Cindy is a TA in the ND Math Help Room and one of the officers for the ND Data Club. During summer 2023, she worked for OneAmerica as a pension consulting actuarial intern. During her free time, Cindy loves to go jogging and do origami. Reach out to her if you have any questions about ASC, the Actuarial Science minor, or career development.
Director of Club Communications: Adeline Hayden
Adeline is serving as the Director of Club Communications this year. She is a sophomore Business Analytics and ACMS major. Adeline is from Minnesota but lives in Ryan Hall on campus. At Notre Dame, Adeline is involved in the Figure Skating Club and SIBC. This past summer, Adeline was an intern at North Star Mutual Insurance Company. She enjoys reading and being out in nature during her free time. Adeline is excited for the new year and is available to answer any questions!
