Military Biography:

Chief Warrant Officer Singleton was born in Savannah, Georgia. After completing high school in 1985, he enrolled in South Junior College and graduated in 1987. He later completed the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at Savannah Tech and worked at Memorial Medical Hospital until returning back to school at Georgia Southern University from 1988 until he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1989 and attended Recruit Training Command in Orlando, Fl. Upon completion of Apprenticeship Training in Orlando, he reported to the USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72 for his first permanent duty station. Chief Warrant Officer Singleton’s other duty stations include: USS Enterprise CVN-65, NRD Nashville TN, USS Harry S. Truman CVN-75, Expeditionary Warfare Unit Atlantic (EWTGLANT), USS Carl Vinson CVN-70, and Assault Craft Unit Four (ACU-4).

Chief Warrant Officer Singleton’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (10 awards), Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal (4 awards), National Defense Service Medal (2 awards), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3 awards), Navy Recruiting Ribbon, Nato Medal, Marksman Ribbon. He additionally qualified as an Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Aviation Warfare Specialist, Master Training Specialist, and Master Instructor.

Chief Warrant Officer graduated from South Junior College in May 1987. Saint Leo University in June 2004, where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice specializing in Administration from Strayer University in 2012 and also graduating from Capella University in 2009 with his Masters in Human Services with a specialization in Counseling. He has two Associate degrees in liberal arts as well.

Civilian Biography:

After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he began teaching the NJROTC program at Greenbrier High School in Evans, Ga. as the Senior Naval Science Instructor. He continues to mentor and counsel high school students on becoming productive citizens in the community. He counsels them on military and educational benefits to help them make well-deserved decisions after high school. He participates in several community service events, ranging from Adopt-a-Highway, Veteran’s day ceremonies, feeding the veterans at Golden Corral and numerous other activities. In his off-duty time, he commit to helping young men and women through the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. as a member of Upsilon Gamma Gamma chapter. He is the chairperson for the Talent Hunt program that seeks talented high school students and encourages them to perform and share their talents and representing Augusta at the State level. He also chairs the Colonel Charles Young Scholarship program within the chapter to help those students who plan to attend college offset the cost of books and fees.
