WEARING OF UNIFORMS
Uniform wear is a graded item. Cadets are graded on how they placed insignia on their collar, the cleanliness of the uniform, that they have all proper uniform items, as well as on their grooming standards. The standards that are graded are given to each Cadet in their Cadet Reference Manual and have been explained in class.
o The wearing of the uniform should be a matter of personal pride to all NJROTC Cadets.
o Cadets will remain in FULL UNIFORM for the entire day unless given permission to change into civilian attire.
o Shoes will be replaced when they become too small.
All cadets will be in grooming standards (hair, shave, jewelry).
We will gladly issue replacement items for clothing items that are worn, torn, too big or too small. The cadet must bring in the original issued item before a new item will be issued.
This page is used to document our policy regarding the weekly requirement to wear the uniform, grooming standards that must be met, and how student grades are tied to the uniform wear and grooming standards. Students are not to wear any civilian attire on top of the Navy uniform. (i.e. civilian coat, sweaters, etc...)
Grading Policy
1. Failure to wear the uniform on uniform day (unexcused): If a Cadet fails to wear their uniform on the designated uniform day (unexcused). If they fail to wear their uniform on the designated uniform day, they will receive a grade of 0 (zero) for that week's uniform grade.
2. Absent on uniform day (excused absence): If a Cadet is absent on their designated uniform day they are to wear their uniform on the next day back at school.
