Students have been practicing skills throughout the semester. Many students should start to see that they have greater skill incertain areas than in others. They should also start to feel that they ENJOY certain types of performances more than others.
THERFORE, students get to CHOOSE their final performance.
Monologue (90 seconds)
Duo Scene (3-5 mins)
Improv Scene/Game (5 mins)
Emcee (scripted work)
Your performance will be onstage in the main theatre in the evening. Parents and friends are invited. If you cannot attend that evening performance, your performance will be recorded and played live during that evening performance.
You will have 2 performance practices: 1 with script & blocking and 1 calling line 3 times.
Choosing a larger group of students can be more fun, HOWEVER the responsibility of all of the performers increases. All group members rely on each other for attendance, being able to focus in practice, memorizing lines, and onstage in the final performance. The teacher will caution you if your group seems challenging for you and your grade. Make good choices.
