Our lab and UVI research in general was strongly represented this year at the Ocean Sciences Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii. You can find poster/presentation titles below with links to each poster online.

Graduate student Jen Kisabeth presented her thesis research entitled "Cruise ship induced sediment resuspension characteristics in Charlotte Amalie harbor and West Gregoire Chanel, St. Thomas United States Virgin Islands"

Graduate student Rosmin Ennis presented her thesis research entitled "Coral reef health responses to chronic and acute changes in water quality"

Leslie Henderson presented some of our lab's newest mesophotic reef research. Her poster was entitled "Divergent coral reef and hard bottom communities of a mesophotic shelf edge in the U.S. Virgin Islands"

Dr. Daniel Holstein presented a portion of his dissertation research entitled "Simulating mesophotic to shallow reefs connectivity considering three-dimension coral reef habitats"

Vanessa Wright presented on a recent Cari-COOS buoy deployment. Her poster is entitled "Observations of a tropical ecosystem: an evaluation of spatial variability in coean measurements to build an effective regional coastal ocean observing system"

Dr. Richard Nemeth gave a verbal presentation entitled "Habitat use of mesophotic reef fishes: conservation strategies based on fish distributions, reproductive behaviors and movement patterns"

Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed to make this happen!
