"Those who ignore Statistics are condemned to reinvent it. " - Bradley Efron
Hi! I am a graduate statistician (GStat), a PhD candidate and graduate teaching assistant at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in Missouri S & T. My academic journey spans different fields, starting with background studies in accounting and economics, actuarial science and finally (bio)statistics. My current PhD work focuses on developing statistical methods for detecting differentially methylated regions in the human genome and developing methods for time-to-event data with a cure fraction. I hope to bridge the gap between industry and academia via a new learning and assessment system — project-based learning.
I am a registered member of the ASA and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS).
Research Interests: statistical genomics, survival analysis, statistical machine learning, statistical applications in life science, engineering and social science.
New Project Aims to Make Stats Research Accessible to Undergrads (You will find my name and my comment in the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs)
