About the Director

I grew up in Plainfield, IL which is 45 minutes southwest of downtown Chicago and lived there until I was 18. When my family moved to Merrill, WI, it was there that I decided that I wanted to join the music department and make music my life. From there I attended school at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County in Wausau and transferred to University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point. I graduated form there with a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education in May of 2014.

I previously taught 5-12 grade band and choir in Wauzeka, WI and have started courses for a Masters of Music Education degree at Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, IL.

Although I love teaching and come to work everyday ready to teach and learn something new, I also love performing. I have performed in the bass section of the Oneota Community Orchestra in Decorah, IA, the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra in La Crosse, WI, the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra in Stevens Point, WI, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Orchestra and the Wausau Symphony Orchestra in Wausau, WI. Most recently you will find my name on the roster for the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra based out of Eau Claire, WI. I have also played the bass in several concert bands throughout central Wisconsin and various jazz ensembles as well. I love all things Disney, Chicago Blackhawk Hockey and Chicago White Sox Baseball.

Above all things, I am very excited to be a part of the Menomonie Schoo District and its musical community! If you see me throughout the community, please stop and say hello! I would love to meet you and learn about the community I have been asked to help educate alongside such wonderful colleagues!

Until we meet in person, please feel free to email me or call at the number provided and I will remain musically yours,
