Tim Leuschen

Coach Tim Leuschen has been at Millard South High School since the 2003-2004 season.  He served as an assistant coach for 11 years before taking over the head coaching position in 2014-2015.  He also teaches biology at Millard South.  Coach Leuschen is a graduate of Omaha Gross High School where he competed in cross country, basketball, and track.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and secondary education from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, IA.  Leuschen played on the Briar Cliff Chargers Men’s Basketball Team and ran outdoor track for the Chargers from 1999-2003.  The Chargers basketball team qualified for the NAIA national tournament in three of those four seasons.  Leuschen was named an NAIA scholar athlete in 2002 and in 2003.  He has two Master’s Degrees from Doane College in Curriculum and Educational Leadership.  Leuschen has led the Patriots to state tournament appearances in 2017, 2018, and 2021.  He was named Coach of the Year by the Metro Basketball Coaches Association in 2018.   He and his wife Amy have three children:  Ellie, Emma, and Jack.
