I am a Physical Educator. My profession is my passion. My student’s successes are my life’s work.
I change lives through Physical Education. Fitness has shaped and changed so many parts of my life, my goal is to empower students in the same way. The impact of physical education extends well beyond sport and movement, it has the ability to change a person’s perspectives and view challenges in life with relentless optimism.
I've had the pleasure of teaching for two years at Kiel Elementary School in Kinnelon before coming to Montclair where I currently teach Health and Physical Education at Buzz Aldrin Middle School and Northeast Elementary School.
Prior to teaching I received my Bachelor degree from West Chester University in Kinesiology with a minor in nutrition in 2004. After college I had a rewarding career as a trainer & fitness business consultant in the Tri-state area. I have always had a passion for teaching & received my Physical Education & Health teaching certification in 2014. In 2015 I completed my CrossFit Level 1 certificate after falling in love with the "sport of fitness". The summer of 2016 I had the opportunity to attended Project Adventure Curriculum for Physical Education workshop which is the discipline I will be pursuing for my Masters Degree. I'm excited to continue my education to remain on the forefront of the Physical Education profession and bring that knowledge to my students.
