Hello! I'd love to tell you about myself!
I love my job! This is my 21st year teaching. I have had the privilege of teaching 2nd graders, 1st graders, math and reading intervention, and teacher coaching. I have a bachelor's degree from UMD (Go Bulldogs!) and a master's degree from Concordia University, St. Paul.
I live in Shoreview with my husband, Mike, two kids, Julia (7th grade) and Jake (4th grade), and 6 month old yellow lab, named Gordie. My kids activities keep me busy! They play lacrosse, basketball, and soccer; I love to cheer them on from the sidelines. For fun, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, playing tennis and pickleball, planting, outdoor walks, reading, and enjoying the summer sunshine!
Teaching and building relationships with students and their families is my favorite part of the job! The primary classroom is a special place of curiosity and learning. I believe together, we can learn, grow, care for one another, and have fun. Everyday is a new opportunity to reach our goals; slow and steady wins the race! Go SNAPPERS :)
