The MSS Art Dept. is participating in the online digital Artsonia program again this year. This program showcases your child's artwork and stores a digital portfolio from year to year. If you have already given permission for your child to participate in the program their account is already set up. This is an optional program and you may decline to participate.
Artsonia was established several years back and continues to grow. Parents have shared many products with thier child's artwork and are please with the quality.
Parents will be able to:
~View their child's artwork online
~Comment on your child's artwork
~Start a fan club and share artwork with family and friends
~Approve comments on your child's artwork
~Option to support the school's Art program by ordering custom keepsakes. The Art Dept. will receive 20% of each purchase.
Custom keepsakes are a great way to exhibit your child's artwork, enhance learning on topic and skills, build your child's esteem, cherish your child's art for many years.
Custom keepsakes also make a great fundraiser for our dept. Our goal is to raise funds for six more iPads in the art room. Presently, we have one IPad per table and would like to have at least two per table. Students can reference a variety of apps from art history, drawing, photo techniques, art games and research. They can also access the MSS Visual Arts website where I can post specific links for a lesson.
How to upload your artwork from home.
Remote Learning and Teaching
Did you know you can take a photo of your artwork and upload to Artsonia? Each artwork is evaluated by the teacher (Mrs. Myers) before posting. There are several ways to upload your artwork.
Options:
Add the Artsonia app to a cell phone or iPad.
click on students and add the access code
If uploading from a laptop or home computer go to
www.Artsonia.com/class
Click on students and add the access code
Once you are in Artsonia, it will ask you for a school access code. I will email this code to all parents. It will also be posted in Google Classroom for students.
Follow the prompts.

Parents that have opted out of Artsonia can also email artwork to
kmyers@mothersetonschool.org
Middle School can also upload to Google Classroom but you will not be able to edit our work.
And....... REMEMBER..... we never post any last names. If you have your name on the front of your artwork, Artsonia has a cool blur tool where you can wipe out the name. You really need to check it out!
