Summer Math for incoming Geometry & Honors Geometry Students

Summer Math - consists solely of review lessons from Algebra 1.  As these are Algebra 1 topics, summer math is graded as a project and will be the students' first math grade for the quarter.  Completing the Delta Math summer math is required as it is a graded activity.  Understanding the topics in summer math is key to getting a good start in math this school year.  You should complete everything in each Delta Math section.

ALL Geometry students, honors & non-honors, will need to know this information. [Study tip: Additional Khan Academy work is attached below for those interested.  This additional work is optional, but it may be helpful for you in the long run.]

Summer Math REQUIRED/Graded DeltaMath Work

NOTE: Students need to establish a DeltaMath account (it is free) using their MCPS email.

Begin the assignment, writing down the title of the section you are working on, writing the problem and showing your work.  There may be timed sections in the assignment.  These timed sections do NOT need to be written down.

What to turn-in: 

On the first day of school submit your clearly labeled and organized work with your name on it.  Points will be deducted if it is not clearly labeled and organized.  If all work is completed in DeltaMath by the first day of school, but your paper with all problems worked out with answers is not submitted or your submitted paper only contains the problems with answers and no work shown, then the highest score you can earn is a 50%.
