The Poetry Project

This three-week poetry intensive unit will cover the various elements of poetry, both linguistically as well as structurally.

The Poetry Packet is attached as a PDF to this page. Also, I've attached other documents that I've handed out during class.

Your assessment for this unit consists of a couple aspects: Firstly, you will complete a Visual Poetry Presentation consisting of two parts: rendering an Illuminated Manuscript of a poem of literary merit, and in addition, create an original poem. Both projects are worth 50 points.

Secondly, you will be completing some AP multiple choice questions and then writing a 40-min essay based upon a poetry prompt.

The Illuminated Manuscript and Original Poem (aka The Visual Poetry Presentation) is due 10/4 .
