The Catholic High School Cub Scouts unit aims to develop the following among our pupils:
- Teamwork
- Leadership
- Loyalty
- Integrity
- Independence
- Resilience
- "Can-do" Mindset
- Service to Community
- Always Be Prepared
Membership is open to all pupils in P3.
All P3 pupils will receive a CCA Option Form sent out by end January from the HOD (CCA / PE / Aesthetics).
For P3 pupils who are keen to join our Cub Scouts unit as their CCA, the ranking of your choice is important on the Option Form.
Shortlisted candidates will participate in the annual Investiture Ceremony in March before becoming a full-fledged CHSP Cub Scout.
The CHSP Cub Scout has to then strive hard to qualify for the following Progressive Badges, namely:
Bronze Arrow (by end of P3)
Silver Arrow (by end of P4)
Gold Arrow (by end of P5)
Akela Award (by April, P6)
The first 3 badges give each Cub Scout some knowledge on Scouting skills and mark achievements in areas such as camping, citizenship and improving the environment.
The highest award in this section is the Akela Award where the Cub Scout must hold the Gold Arrow, pass certain Proficiency Badges, show a good knowledge of Scouting and also successfully pass an interview with the District Commissioner.
Cub Scouts who display potential leadership qualities may be selected to take on the various leadership roles within their Six - e.g. Senior Sixer, Sixer & Asst. Sixer.
Expectations of a Sixer / Asst Sixer:
Follow the Scout Law & Promise
Is always prepared to help others
Attend Pack Meetings regularly
Display leadership qualities & is a role model
Attain a certain level of knowledge & proficiency in Scouting skills
Strive hard to achieve the various Progressive & Proficiency Badges

Our Cub Scout Pack
Our Cub Scouts Pack is organized to 6 Sixes.
Each Six is named after one of the following colours:
Blue
Green
Orange
Red
White
Yellow
Each Six is led by 1 - 2 Sixers who are assisted by 1 or a few more Assistant Sixer(s).
The highest leadership position in Cub Scouts is the Senior Sixer.
We have two Senior Sixers who will lead the Pack during our weekly Pack Meetings.
The Sixers and Senior Sixers form the Sixer Council.
