NYSYLC Junior Academy Program for Undocumented Students

The Undocumented Junior Academy was created by the New York State Youth Leadership Council Education Team. The Education Team at NYSYLC provides educational resources, support, and programs to empower undocumented immigrant youth in New York, through programs like the Junior and Senior Academy.

The Junior Academy: A closed group of undocumented high school juniors in New York, which focuses on preparing the students for the college process, gives 1 on 1 support, and guidance. It’s a follow-up to the Senior Academy which serves to help undocumented high school seniors through the college process. The program was a response to the inadequate support and misinformation undocumented immigrant high school students were getting through their teachers and counselors. The Junior Academy application has been open for a month and will remain open until December 20th
