Welcome to General Mathematics Orientation Week!

Requirements for Unit 1&2 General Mathematics before the first day of Term 1 2026: 

• Bookmark General Maths site: https://sites.google.com/mckinnonsc.vic.edu.au/generalmaths/home

• Carefully read through Units 1/2 General Maths Orientation Week presentation.

Work to complete: 

• Summarise Chapter 1 and 2 (Exercise 1A - C and 2A - C) notes in your bound reference, please see "Approved Materials and Equipment for VCE" document for guidelines. 

• Complete Exercise questions 1A - C and 2A - C questions (questions listed on Holiday Homework handout linked below, textbook chapter and solutions also linked below).

• Complete WS 00, WS 01 and WS 02 (printed and handed out during orientation week, also linked below).

Get organised: 

• Buy Cambridge Units 1 & 2 General Mathematics textbook from the booklist.

• Buy a 240 page VCAA approved notebook for your bound reference (this is not for your textbook work).

• Buy and exercise book to complete your textbook questions. 

Optional: 

• You may wish to buy a display folder to keep handouts organised.

• Watch teacher explanation videos.
