August 27, 2020 - Update drills for 2021 - 2022 school year: All schools will conduct a fire drill with in the first 10 days of school. There will be a options based violent intruder training within the first 30 days. All other drills through out the year will be instructional drills. This new guidance comes from the department of education.

September 26, 2022 - The district is introducing Run Hide Fight(RHF) option based protocol in place of ALICE. RHF is supported by the state of Vermont and has simpler language for students to understand. We will be implementing training over the year. Parents will be contacted about training happening in their school as well as parent information nights about the program. In addition, MAUSD will be introducing Stop the Bleed training for faculty and staff throughout the year.
October 18, 2022 - Mount Abe High/Middle School conducted a couple drills today. They did their relocation drill. All the students and staff moved to their designated off site locations. They have these locations incase there was an emergency and they could not return to the school. At the conclusion of the relocation drill the students were picked up by busses and conducted their annual bus evacuation drill. There will be another relocation drill in the spring.
February 13, 2023 - MAUSD will be hosting a webinar on the Run-Hide-Fight protocol on February 27th at 6pm.
April 11, 2023 - Mount Abraham Union Middle/High School will be introducing Run/Hide/Fight to the students during a webinar on Wednesday April 12th. The webinar will occur during advisory time in the morning.
