I have an active scholarly agenda that intersects with my teaching. I study eighteenth-century British literature and culture, with a special focus in embodiment and popular forms of performance; this interest also connects to my tangential scholarly interests in horror cinema, which resulted in the recent publication of an article about the 1986 camp slasher film, Crawlspace. I also work in the field of Digital Humanities, which loosely speaking is interested in the relationships between technology, technological thinking, and humanistic inquiry. Over the past six years, I have created a total of fifteen (15) scholarly products considered meritorious, and thirteen (13), ordinary. Included among them are a notable range of works: articles and presentations in the scholarship of teaching, articles and presentations on eighteenth-century popular culture, an XML database with front-end application, a theatrical song cycle, and more. I describe a subset of these products in the Outstanding scholarship page, and you can see a full list both here and on my CV.
My work has been supported by grants both internal and external. Over the past six years, I have been awarded a variety of development grants in support of my scholarship, as follows. I describe these projects in more detail throughout my promotion review file, especially in the outstanding scholarship section.
