Welcome to Kindergarten!!😁

Dear Parents, September 2025                                                                                     

Welcome to kindergarten! I am so excited to begin a new year and to meet your child. This truly is a time of unlimited possibilities and I am thrilled to be able to teach the newest members of our McDonough family. 

I do not take the responsibility of being your child’s teacher lightly. I believe I have the most important job in the world! The best reassurance I can give you is that I will treat your child the way I would want my child treated in a classroom situation. 

I look forward to working with you and your child to make this year a special one. I have listed a few key things you should know as we begin our year. Please take some time and read through all of them:

*Breakfast is served from 8:15-8:35 for those of you that want it. Please be sure to have your child here between these times if you would ike them to get breakfast!  We dismiss at 2:40, a little earlier than the older grades. We have a door directly from our classroom out to the drive through in front of the school, room 144.  Please do not park in the drive through at the front of the building because the buses need easy access in and out.  

    *Please send a note if your child is going home in a different way than usual. Or if someone new is picking up your child, please be sure to add their names to the Emergency paperwork that you’ll fill out for the office.

*When paying for lunch or milk, please send money in an envelope labeled with your child’s name and Lunch Money. Menus can be found on the main site www.mansd.org.

*Please do not allow your child to bring in any toys.

*I’ll send home weekly/biweekly newsletters to keep you updated on what is going on in the classroom and I will also be creating a class website. More info to come on a newsletter in the near future.

*Please send in a change of clothes for those “oops!” moments. Label the bag and we can store it in their cubby.

Feel free to contact me using the Talking Points app (which we will set up at the beginning of the year), via email at adarosa@mansd.org or call the school and leave a message 624-6373. I won’t be able to return calls until after the children leave for the day on most occasions though. The Talking Points app is the fastest way to reach me!
