We celebrated 69th republic day of India in our School.Our Principal hoisted National Flag and students did a majestic parade. Students participated in dance, drawing,and speech competitions with enthusiasm and exhibited their talents on stage. Teachers educated students about our constitution and explained about Republic day. The winners of the competitions were competitions were honored by Principal and senior staff.

We have recently installed 2KW solar panel in the school campus. Even with certain teething troubles , we glad to inform you that the EB bill has come down by 50% in the first two months. With appropriate controls , We hopeful that we will become self-reliant on electricity by end of this year.Thanks to mr.Kumaresh Ramachandria , Founder and Director of Enable info Solutions , Inc , Florida , for sponsoring the entire unit.

Kalai Thiruvizha

The “Kalai Thiruvizha” of the Madurai Thiruparankundram Educational district held for 2 days in our Malli Vidhyalaya High School(15-11-2017, 16-11-2017). The program was attended by more than 500 students from 200+ schools. Madurai D.E.O. Mr.C.Jeyapal, Madurai District Primary A.E.O. Mrs.Manimegalai, Thiruparankundram A.E.E.O. Mr.Namachivayam, A.E.E.O. Mr.Shajahan, and our school Correspondent Mr.Sureshmalli felicitated the prize distribution on 16-11-2017. Teachers of Malli Vidhyalaya High School and Pavithra Nursery and Primary school and senior students coordinated the event on both days ably guided by Manager Mr. Manivannan and Principal Mrs. Soundaranayaki.

World Space Week 2017

On 05-Oct-2017 , our school students participated in Mahatma school and ISRO world space week 2017 exhibition held at Mahatma Montessori school campus. Our students participated in Poster drawing, Quiz and Essay writing competition with lot of enthusiasm. The competitions encouraged the students to enhance their knowledge about space research and became a great scientist . In this exhibition the chief guest was Mr. R. Venkatraman, Dpty chairman, ISRO , Shriharikotta , Hyderabad. He shared his experience about satellite launching.

Our School organized a one - day meditation workshop on 16- Aug-2017. This was conducted by international organization Vipassna Meditation center. there was five instructors led by Mr.Subramanian who trained our students on AanaPaana meditation and explained how meditation will help them to

• Improve concentration
• Sharpen the memory
• Reduce fear, tension, nervousness
• Better performance in everythingthey do
• Focus on positive aspects of life Students also took oath to abstain from killing , stealing , life of misconduct , telling lies and intoxicants

Our school has committed to conduct meditation 10 mins twice a day on all days.

Our school conducted Sports Day on 15-Aug 2017 along with Independence Day celebrations. The program started with flag hoisting, Salutation and honor to our flag followed by speeches about Indian and our leaders. Our students exhibited their talent by performing in group events and individual events. The sports day helped them to uncover their hidden potential in sports and build stronger relationship with their fellow students. The highlights of the day's event were competition among the alumni(old students) of our school , our teachers and most importantly parents of our students.

Today 27-07-2017 , Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam 2nd memorial was organized in our school. Students explained the biography of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam . This helped the students to recall the life of Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam and motivated them to be better and responsible citizen.

On 17-07-2017 we inaugurated Saraswathi G.K Club. This Year K.S.Subramaniyan VIII Std was elected as President and B.K.Agalya VIII Std as Secretary of the club. Every competitive exam requires very good General Knowledge to becomes successful. We cannot become an IAS or IPS officer or clear TNPSC group exam without developing good knowledge of the past and present.Our school objective is to inculcate a habit of developing general knowledge as a daily practice.

• The Objectives of G.K Club are:
  1. improve the reading habits of children by providing opportunity to read library books.
  2. share , display and discuss current events with school children.
  3. Conduct quizzes to promote developing general knowledge.
  4. Nominate students for competitions , thereby increasing their level of Confidence

Public Speaking Club

On 12-07-2017 we inaugurated Public Speaking Club. This Year S.R.Dineshkumar VIII std was elected as President and M.K. Lakshmi IX Std as Secretary of the Club.The purpose of our Public Speaking Club are

• Improve Public Speaking skills by practicing on weekly basis.
• Improve our communication in English language.
• Improve our thinking skills in participating in Group Discussion.
• Thereby improve our level of confidence in Public Speaking, Communication and English Language.

Chief guest:- Our Chief guest Mr.O.R.kannan , AHM, Sourashtra Co- Education School, Madurai inaugurated the club and installed the office bearers. He explained the students on the importance of Public Speaking and appreciated the students on the stage performance.

On 12-07-2017 we inaugurated Fine Arts Club. This year B.Abbas IX Std was elected as President and B.S.Mithilesh IX Std as Secretary of the club. We believe that every child has multi-faceted talent which goes beyond academics.The purpose of Fine arts club is to bring out the hidden talent from every student.The art club is a place for practicing artists to improve in on their skills, develop their techniques and collaboration with other likeminded students and create bonds.

The key objectives of our club are:-

• Field trips to expose to various art exhibition
• Practice dance, singing and stage program.
• Exhibition of talent by students during various events.
• Learn and perform photography.

Sports Day

The Sports day of our school was held on 27-Aug-2016 in Malli Vidhyalaya campus. Er. G.R. Sudarsan was the chief guest of the event. He is an accomplished sportsman with 3 national awards in Kho-kho. He has been the coach for the Tamil Nadu team for two consecutive years. He has been a most sought after coach of several colleges in Madurai. He shared his experience with students and explained the importance of sports in everyday life as well as in building a career. All the students participated with enthusiasm and exhibited their talent. The winners of previous year’s sports day were honoured with medal by our Chief guest. The highlight of the events was the lucky corner participated by Parents and Teachers of our school.

Art & Craft

Arts & Crafts: Our school provides ample opportunities, on a weekly basis, to our students to learn and practice arts and crafts. The students not only learn to perform the arts and crafts but also improve on positive behaviors like bilateral coordination, motoring skills, self-regulation, boosting self-esteem and team working.

Value Based Education

Besides regular classroom training the school also conducts regular multimedia training. This helps students to learn through their visual and auditory senses. The students will attend at least one multimedia session of two hours every week. Students are also shown several entertaining/cartoon video clips in English language and asked to explain their understanding. This is a quick way to learn to understand and speak English language.

Library Reading

The school has a collection over 500 children’s books of international and Indian authors. The school has a mandatory library period every week during which they can explore the and read the books of their choice. The teachers will pick books and read out to children of lower standards. The students also have access to over 3000 books available in the group’s high school library.

Motivating Positive Behaviour

Our the out of the student can be brought out by motivating him. Every month we identify best performing students from behavioral as well as academic perspectives by class in the following categories: Responsibility, Cleanliness, Timeliness, Friendly, Service and Overall performance. The selected students are awarded a badge during prayer. The teachers announce the reason why a particular student has been provided with the badge. The students are advised to wear the badge to school every day. This exercise continues every month. This practice helps to communicate to students what is a good behavior and encourage them to build it.

Club Activities

Our school focusses on developing student’s skill beyond textbooks. We want them to experiment, practice and get real world exposure. This also help students to unearth the skills they possess. Our V students participate, learn and contribute by being part of Ramanujam Maths Club, VOC Tamil Manram, Kalam Science club in Malli Vidhyalaya. The activities planned as part of each club also gives the student plenty of opportunities to interact with senior students and listen to their experience.

Yoga: Students of our school get an opportunity to practice Yoga on a weekly basis in our campus. This is taught as part of our regular stream and students participate in it enthusiastically. All our students who participate in the external state level competition won prizes.

MukthiNilayam, Thirumangalam is an organization that serves the needy by providing free food, shelter, medical and education. Along with the above MukthiNilayam feeds the world with devotion and wisdom all around the world. On behalf of MukthiNilayam, our school distributes free notebooks to students issued by MukthiNialyam. We thank MukthiNIlayam for their continuous contribution to our community and we are sure that this support will go a long way in building the students.
