Intubation Chamber
Lead Investigator: Adam Hacking
The rationale behind an Intubation Chamber is that when somebody is on ventilation as they're being intubated or extubated the air being forced in and out of their lungs is basically aerosolizing particles. The Intubation Chamber will serve to protect the medical staff from these aerosols and splatter during in the intubation and extubation procedures, while maximizing easy access and good visibility to the patient they are working on. Other considerations are portability, storage, cleaning and sturdiness.
Plans to build a prototype box are underway.
