Interested Preschool Parents

Preschool Program Overview:

At Maine West Preschool, high school student teachers plan engaging learning activities to support social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of 3-5 year old children.  Priority will be given to children who are age 4 by September 1st of the school year.  If we are not full prior to the school year, children who are 3 years old will be considered.  Children must be potty-trained before attending the program.

Children spend approximately 2 hours, 4 days a week in the preschool (depending on class schedules during the school year).  Tuition is $300 for the school year.  Daily activities include circle time, songs, story, music and movement, arts and crafts, math, science, literacy, and dramatic play.  Children are introduced to a new theme and participate in a variety of full group and small group activities planned by the high school students under direct supervision of the classroom teacher.     High school students in the program complete an application and are interviewed before they can enroll. 

Interested parents can contact the preschool and complete this Preschool Application.  We welcome any potential parents and children who would like to observe.  Please also note that preschool spots fill up quickly; usually in April for the program that starts in late September.
