About

Background:

Hi! I'm the Distance Education Librarian and the Library Information Technology (LIT) Department Chair at City College of San Francisco. I am also teaching LIBR 51, LIBR 53 and LIBR 59 in Fall 2024.  I have been at the college since 2011. If you frequent the Rosenberg Library on the Ocean campus, you might have seen me at the reference desk or roaming about the library.

As a college librarian, the main part of my job is assisting students with their research needs and helping them to develop their research skills. Part of this is learning how to critically evaluate sources found in the research process. Learning to separate the good information from the bad is crucial in today's information rich society. I love this part of my job, so if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

When I am not working, I like to read (big surprise there), hike, pick up heavy objects and put them back down, knit, and hang out with my family.
