Meet Mrs. Fazio

Welcome to my classroom! I am thrilled to be back for my eighth year at MTA and my 28th year in education. My journey in teaching began in the Paradise Valley School District, where I spent 20 years, and I have dedicated the past 17 years to teaching 6th-grade math.

I am from Oregon and hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho. Additionally, I earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Teaching 6th grade has been a highlight of my career, as I have been doing it for 22 years. I love this age group and am passionate about preparing students for their next step in 7th grade.

Outside the classroom, I cherish time with my family. My husband, Todd, is the boys' basketball coach at Highland High School in Gilbert and manages a bustling youth basketball program, Roots Hoops. Our daughter, Isabella, is a senior at Highland High School and enjoys volleyball, the beach, and spending time with her friends.

I am an avid traveler, taking every opportunity to explore new places during school breaks and summer vacations. Laguna Beach, with its beautiful ocean views, is my favorite escape.

I am looking forward to another wonderful year, helping your 6th grader reach their full potential!
