Homework will be done a couple of ways this year:
1 - If your son or daughter has any unfinished work that they need to do from the day or week then they will bring it home. You will know that it is homework because it will not have a star or a happy face at the top. Sometimes it will say "Finish and return". It is important for your child to do this work as it is practicing the skill or concept we have worked on.
2 - Math - pages depend on the lessons taught the previous week.
Jan. 3 - 6: Module 10, lessons 1 - 3
Jan. 9 - 13: They will bring worksheets home as we will be working out of the workbook and Module 11 lessons 4-5
Jan. 17-20: Module 12, lessons 1, 3, 5
Jan. 23 - 27: Module 12, lessons 2, 4, 6
Jan. 30 - Feb. 3: Module 13, lessons 1 - 3
3- Spelling: 10 spelling words will be sent home every Monday. They need to do 1 or 2 activities from the spelling tic-tac-toe board to practice. They will take a spelling test every Friday to show what they know. These will be graded but not input into Powerschool as a grade. Just doing this to be a better speller when we are working on our writing.

Waggle - students log into their Gmail accounts, click on the 9 dots in the right hand corner, scroll to the bottom of the drop down menu, click on the red square that says "HMH - Houghton Mifflin Harcourt" and then click again on Waggle.
