Spanish Language Arts/Social Studies
I am beyond excited to be part of this amazing school and 4th-grade team! I am a graduate of San Diego State University. After my Bachelor's, I dedicated 12 years of my life working with a non-profit organization here in Phoenix. Nevertheless, I always knew my passion and true calling was teaching. I am a certified teacher with a Spanish Bilingual Endorsement. I obtained a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Bilingual and ESL Education from Northern Arizona University. I am also a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters, Victoria and Lucia. My girls are Heights students as well! I am a native Spanish speaker born in Michoacán, Mexico. I love sports (futbol, football and basketball), travel, coffee, and good food, but most of all, I love spending time with family. I am looking forward to knowing each and every one of you and seeing your children flourish in this wonderful Spanish Immersion program! Bienvenidos!

Math/Reading
I am so excited to be on this fabulous fourth grade team! I grew up in Dallas, Texas and got my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from The University of North Texas in 2002. I started my career teaching fourth grade. I have also worked in special education, with students from PreK to fifth grade. I was also a math intervention teacher and a math curriculum coach. I am thrilled to be returning to the fourth grade! I am a wife and step mother to six amazing children and four beautiful grandchildren. I love spending time with all of them. I also enjoy being outdoors either swimming, hiking, off roading, or at the lake. I take any opportunity I get to travel and explore new places. I look forward to getting to know everyone of the fourth grade students and can’t wait to see them all grow this year!

I'm pleased to be part of the Madison Heights Family. I'm an immigrant from Southern Mexico and worked very hard to earn a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University. In the summer of 2000, I obtained my Arizona teaching certificate with a Spanish Bilingual Endorsement. Ever since, I have been working in this rewarding profession. I have taught third grade for two year, sixth grade science for twelve years and fourth grade for the last five years. I have been in the Madison School District since 2006. I'm excited to be part of the Spanish Immersion team at Heights Elementary and I look forward to a productive, creative, and enjoyable year together.

Hello Families!
I am the new 4th grade ELA teacher. As a former Madison student I am thrilled to be joining Madison Heights as an educator. This will be my eighth year teaching and my third year teaching 4th grade. I am passionate about teaching and believe these core skills learned in elementary school will be valuable to all students in any profession or path they chose. When I'm not the in the classroom I like to spend time with my family. I am married and have three children. They are 1, 9, and 9 years old. Oh! And we have cat named Retro. We love to travel, camp, and try new restaurants together as a family.
