My name is John Schoen. This is my first year teaching at JMM, where I will be teaching Integrated Science. Before starting at JMM, I was living in Missoula, Montana where I finished my master's degree in Broadfield Science Education. I also have a bachelors degree in Ecology and Environmental Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. My past research experiences include songbird research in the backcountry of Montana, and the grasslands of Argentina, as well as stream research in Argentina, Colorado, Minnesota and Wisconsin. When not in the class I enjoy being outside hiking and camping with my wife, Kristine and dog, Charlie (see above), and watching the Badgers and Packers play football.
I am looking forward to meeting all of my students, and having a great year. If you have any questions or concerns as the year progresses please feel free to contact me at jpschoen@madison.k12.wi.us
