CP Chemistry

Course Description:

This course in Chemistry is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to attend college, but who will most likely major in areas other than the disciplines of science or science-related areas. Its purpose is to provide a firm understanding of the fundamental concepts of chemistry in order for the students to gain a deeper appreciation of science in the world. Although theoretical aspects of chemistry are the subject of emphasis, the concepts are presented whenever possible within a laboratory-based context and applied to industrial processes as well as experiences in everyday life. There is a realistic balance among the theoretical, descriptive, and practical aspects of chemistry.
