Things we have been up to...

Last year, the Life Skills Class participated in a lot of different fun and exciting activities! Some of the activities include:

• The Life Skills Class went to the SWAP Halloween party at Hopatcong High School, where they got together with different students from Sussex and Morris counties!

• The Life Skills Class hosted a Halloween party at Lenape Valley! The students made invitations, snacks, and set up games for this party!

• The Life Skills Class took a trip to the local TJ Maxx. The students were able to take a tour of the store!

• The Life Skill's class went to the Winter Formal at Lafayette House with the SWAP program! This is one of the students favorite activities because they got to dress up, see friends, and dance!

• The Life Skills class made and sold different items at their Holiday Pop Up Shop! They sold wooden light up trees, oven mitts with baking supplies, Holiday mugs with hot chocolate, and Holiday chocolate bars.

• The Life Skills Class participated in the door decorating contest!

• The Life Skills Class went to the Stanhope Police Department and got a tour of the station and police car! Their favorite part was trying on a police vest!

• The Life Skills Class sent Thank you letters to nurses at Chilton Hospital for Nurse Appreciate Week!

For this year the Life Skills Class may look a little different. Unfortunately the Life Skills Class cannot go out to the community just yet, but we will keep you posted on all of the fun and exciting things we are up to!
