Although it seems to me like I just started teaching a few years ago, September 2024 marks the start of my 23rd year of teaching (all in Lawrence Township). During my years here in Lawrence, I have taught second and third grade at Slackwood School; fourth and sixth grade at LIS; and seventh and eighth grade, here at LMS. Since "The Nation" and I share the same initials, so I know that this is where I was meant to be all along! Prior to teaching, I worked for 12 years as a geologist, designing and carrying out soil and groundwater cleanup programs in New Jersey.
My husband and I have been married for 34 years, and have two daughters, a son-in-law, a "daughter's boyfriend," and our rescue dog, Bindi. You can see pictures of all of us by clicking on the photo on the left. My husband and I enjoy traveling, cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams, cooking, and eating all different kinds of food. I am an avid knitter, love reading, and just recently started biking.
I look forward to building a fun and safe learning community where everyone feels encouraged to put forth their best effort. With patience for ourselves and each other, as well as grace to try, and forgiveness for mistakes, I am confident that together we will have a successful school year.
