Science

"If students are answering a question about the natural world, it is SCIENCE!

If students are solving a problem or meeting a need, it is ENGINEERING!"

Engineering Method vs. Scientific Method

The engineering design process asks students to build a prototype, while the scientific method asks students to use an experiment to test their hypothesis.

What should a science classroom look like?

*    Asking Questions & Defining Problems

*    Investigating

*    Integration

*    Argumentation with Evidence

*    Developing & Using Models

*    Analyzing Data

*    Explaining

*    Research & Communicate
