4th Grade Drama
Fourth grade drama students recently took part in a a reader’s theatre project. They were evaluated on their vocal skills including projection, expression, articulation, and tempo. Please continue to reinforce these skills when you are reading and practicing together at home. This reader’s theatre project was in honor of Black History Month. Students performed selections written by a variety of classic and contemporary African American poets. They were very excited about having their poems featured on our televised daily announcements as well! Performances will be shared with you electronically.
At the year’s conclusion, fourth grade drama students will be featured in A Morning of Shorts, a collection of scenes selected from classic and contemporary plays. Students will be taught acting basics including character development, teamwork, vocalization techniques, spatial awareness, and memorization. Please assist them with the memorization process by practicing regularly when the time comes. Thank you and have a GREAT end to your school year!
