A bad CroBear team beat an equally bad Breaux Bridge team 7-0 to end the losing streak at 25 games. It was the first win in three years. The highlight of the season was the 1st signings of Bear players to a college scholarship when fullback/linebacker/place kicker Larry Holloway decided to play at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (then Northeast Louisiana University) and offensive lineman Lee Billeaud signed with McNeese.
