This year saw both the first playoff game and the first playoff victory in Carencro High School history. The Bears ended up in a 3-way tie for first place and was selected by the District Committee for the 1st place playoff spot. The Bears played Cecila at home in the first round. In 1969, there was no overtime periods, and playoff ties were won by the team with the most number of 1st downs. By a 14-10 1st down count, the Bears won their 12-12 "tie" with the Bulldogs. The E.D. White Cardinals, defending state champions, beat the Bears at home, but the year was a successful one.
* Won by virtue of a 14-10 edge in 1st downs, the tiebreaker in case of a tied playoff game in 1969
