Hi! I am one of the school psychologists at Newton Middle School. This is my seventh year at Newton and I am excited to be a part of the Newton community!
I am a Colorado native and received my B.A. in English Literature and Secondary Education at the University of Colorado Boulder. After graduating, I moved to Austin, TX, where I worked in educational publishing for nine years (and enjoyed all that the live music capital of the world has to offer!). I came to miss working directly with kids, so decided to change things up and go back to school. I returned to Colorado and received my doctorate in school psychology from the University of Colorado Denver. I completed my internship in Littleton Public Schools and was overjoyed to be offered a position at Newton, as middle school is (perhaps strangely) where I want to be. I am honored to have the opportunity to work with students during such a transformative time in their lives.
At Newton, I work primarily with students receiving special education services, though I also offer social-emotional and behavioral support to other students. I provide assessments, consultation to teachers, and counseling.
I am married, have one sweet dog named Linus, and two playful kitties named Dottie Darling and George. I enjoy running, rock climbing, traveling, and eating out. Ramen and pizza are two of my faves! Please do not hesitate to reach out and say hello!
