Jordan Verdie

Hi! I am one of the social workers here at Newton Middle School.  I am excited to be back for another amazing year and I am looking forward to having the opportunity to support the amazing students, parents, and staff here. 

I graduated from Colorado State University with my Bachelor's in Social Work and then went on to get my Master's in Social Work from Metropolitan State University. Prior to coming to Newton, I worked at a non-profit here in Denver supporting children and families involved in the child welfare system. Prior to this, I also spent time at Fort Collins High School, interning with the school social worker there. 

At Newton, I meet with students regarding their academic, social, or emotional needs! I am excited and humbled to be able to work with students during such an important season of their life. 

I am married and have one adorable cat! I enjoy running, traveling, hiking, and reading (you can often find me at Barnes and Noble).
