Where will the money go?
Oceana is campaigning around the world for science-based policies that stop overfishing, protect habitat, increase transparency, protect our climate, curb plastic pollution, and increase biodiversity.
These proven strategies are helping to rebuild abundant and biodiverse oceans, which can feed a billion people a healthy seafood meal every day, forever.

Q. What is MAD Week?
A. MAD Week stands for Make A Difference Week. The whole school participates in a series of events to raise money for a charity the school voted on last semester. Let's go MAD!
Q. How can I donate?
A. You can donate in class (TEACHER LINKS HERE) and at events! If you donate in class, then your contributions will go towards your class's Dollar Delay.
Q. What is the money for?
A. We are hoping to raise money for Oceana in order to support ocean friendly policies to protect those ecosystems. Those policies range from pollution and plastic waste to protecting bycatch.
Q. How can I buy tickets for Senior Showdown?
A. You can buy them every day during Lunch A and Lunch B by the main office for $10! Tickets will also be available day of the show, at the door starting at 5 PM.
Q. How can I sign up for the Dodgeball Tournament?
A. In the main office you can find the waiver and sign up. Fill out the waiver, bring that and $5 to Ms. King (main office). There are only 30 spots per grade so if you want to participate, please fill out the waiver ASAP! First come, first serve!
Q. What is dollar delays?
A. Dollar delays is an event that goes on all of Mad Week. Students turn in donations to teachers and can win prizes that are set by their teachers. Each class is different because teachers choose the prizes individually from a menu of options. One example is if Ms. Peach's class raises $150, then they can delay a class for the entire block!
