Creative Writing

Course Overview:

The course emphasizes further knowledge, practice, and application of two genres of creative writing: fiction and nonfiction. We will study genre units, which may include selections of the following: emoir, poetry, personal essay, short story and drama. Students study these genres as the primary, though not exclusive, basis for instruction. Students read examples and will produce their own creative works using the knowledge and examples from class.
