Lowndes High School
Business Department
Dear Parents:
The LHS Business Department is pleased to be teaching your child this semester and we are looking forward to a wonderful year full of excitement. The information below is important for you to know before the school year begins.
Student success is very important to us. An excellent way to ensure success is through Infinite Campus. This is an online resource where parents may access grades and attendance for their child. Please contact your child’s guidance counselor if you do not have access to this very important website.
Honor cords at graduation will be given to those students who complete a pathway in a CTAE (Career, Technical & Agriculture Education) department. CTAE Pathways consists of three courses in the same subject area. Students must have an A average for all three courses and an 80 overall GPA to earn the honor cord.
The LHS Business Department is proud to provide an opportunity for our students to become Microsoft Certified. During the semester, students are able to practice a Microsoft software program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and take a test when ready. This is an excellent way for students to learn computer skills and possess a certificate they can display on their college applications and resume.
If you have any questions about the syllabus or anything during the school year, please feel free to call the school at 245-2260. Each teacher’s email can be found on the front page of their syllabus.
