2021 Peer Leadership Low Ropes Challenge
Peer Leadership has partnered with the LHS Wellness Department to create some low ropes challenges in the wooded area on the corner of the LHS campus. Peer Leaders help facilitate these challenges for 9th grade Health and PE classes, and Women's Health and Fitness classes.
Peer Leadership led efforts to earn the No Place For Hate designation from the Anti-Defamation League. We have utilized the ADL's A World of Difference curriculum to facilitate 9th grade Wellness classes focused on diversity, identity, bullying and allyship.
LHS Unite is an annual, daylong event which Peer Leaders facilitate for 9th and 10th grade students at King Philip's Stockade. Students participate in various activities throughout the day which are designed to break down social barriers, develop leadership abilities and foster mutual support amongst students. 9th and 10th grade students may sign up to participate in this event or will receive an invitation by mail if they have been nominated by staff. This event takes place in the spring of each year.
