2021 Peer Leadership Low Ropes Challenge
Challenge Course
Peer Leadership has partnered with students in Community Service Learning to create some low ropes challenges in the wooded area on the corner of the LHS campus. Peer Leaders facilitate these challenges for 9th grade Health and PE classes, Women's Health and Fitness classes and as a part of the 9th grade transition.
A World of Difference
Peer Leadership utilizes curriculum created by A World of Difference Institute, a program developed by the Anti-Defamation League. As a leading provider of anti-bias education, the ADL's A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE® Institute recognizes that attitudes and beliefs affect actions, and that each of us can have an impact on others, and ultimately, on the world in which we live. Students participate in 2 days of training led by an ADL facilitator. Click on the logo below for the website on this program.
LHS Unite
LHS Unite (formerly Unmask LHS) is an annual, daylong event which Peer Leaders facilitate for 9th and 10th grade students at King Philip's Stockade. Students participate in various activities throughout the day which are designed to break down social barriers, develop leadership abilities and foster mutual support amongst students. 9th and 10th grade students may sign up to participate in this event or will receive an invitation by mail if they have been nominated by staff. This event takes place in the spring of each year.
