Read 180 Classroom Procedures

20 Minute stations each day:

1. Topic Software- The READ 180 Instructional Technology is organized and anchored by exciting nonfiction topics. Students watch an engaging anchor video to help build background knowledge, and from there students are accelerated to grade-level proficiency in reading, vocabulary, spelling, and writing. Based on performance, each student’s experience is unique as he or she progresses through five instructional zones.

2. Independent and Modeled Reading- The READ 180 Leveled Paperback & eBook Library presents students with a choice of age-appropriate, relevant books that span genres, cultures, and eras that they can read with success. Each book is leveled, allowing students to read confidently according to their own reading abilities.

3. Small Group Instruction- Students receive individualized, data-driven instruction that meets their unique learning needs while building meaningful relationships with their teacher. The rBook is the cornerstone of READ 180 instruction, providing a clear instructional path for teachers to use in Whole- and Small-Group Instruction. Checkpoints for differentiation help teachers understand exactly when, where, how, and with whom to differentiate instruction.

Available for Stages A, B, and C, the rBook is organized around nine Workshops that provide enough content for approximately one year of instruction per stage.
