The Lifetouch Portal allows you to download the ImageStream application directly through the Portal, rather than through a CD. You can do this through the Download Imagestream Software screen in the Portal.
After you click the Download button on the Download ImageStream Software screen in the Portal:
1. Follow the initial installation instructions for your operating system:
2. At the User Menu window, click the Install ImageStream button to install ImageStream.
3. At the Introduction window, click the Next button.
4. At the License Agreement window, carefully review the agreement. Indicate your school’s acceptance of the licensing terms and conditions by selecting, “I accept the terms of the License Agreement,” then click the Next button.
5. At the Choose Install Set window, select the desired type of install and click the Next button.
Note: We recommend the Typical Install. If Typical Install is selected, you may skip to step 8. Also if ImageStream 2014-15 has already been installed, a warning appears, “ImageStream Already Installed.” To avoid uninstalling previous data, click Cancel and choose the Custom Install; which will allow choosing another folder.
6. If Custom Install is chosen:
a. At the Copy Images from CD window, select the desired option and click the Next button.
Note: “No, don’t copy images” keeps the images on the ImageStream CD. “Yes, copy images” copies images to your hard drive. We recommend copying the images. If you choose “No, don’t copy images,” please read the Open a Database from CD section on the following page.
b. At the Choose Install Folder window, choose a folder, then click the Next button.
Note: If you select a directory that has a previous year’s version of ImageStream, a Warning appears, “ImageStream Already Installed.” To avoid uninstalling a previous Year’s data, click Cancel and choose another folder.
7. At the Choose Shortcut Folder window, select the desired location and click the Next button.
8. At the Pre-Installation Summary window, review the information. If this information is correct, click the Install button. To revise, click Previous.
9. At the Installing Complete window, click the Done button.
10. ImageStream will launch automatically.
Note: Once ImageStream is installed, it can be launched from the shortcut location selected in Step 8
11. Select the ImageStream Database and click Launch ImageStream. The ImageStream main window will appear.
