Parents,

February is in full swing and we have so much going on this month.  I will try to keep you posted on everything but as always if you have any questions please let me know. 

Up-Coming Activities:

Valentine's Day:  We will be having a Valentine celebration in class on Thursday February 12th and students will be allowed to bring Valentines for their friends. I will include class list if you would like to write names on the Valentines.  Or you may just have your child sign their name and put one in each child's Valentine bag. Along with our special Valentine day we will be having breakfast in class at the beginning of the day.  I will have heart shaped waffles.  Here is a link of other things we will need for the morning.  I would love parent help on this day.  Breakfast will be served 8:00-8:45 and Valentine Centers will be 9:30-11:00.  You can help at either one of those times or both.  Let me know if you are available.

Jog A Thon Fundraiser 

February 9th began our annual Jog A Thon Fundraiser.  There will be prizes for top earners and lots of fun classroom activities.   The event is sponsored by our PLEF, Patriot Legacy Education Foundation.  This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and goes to help with field trips for our students and supplies for the classroom.  At the end of the month, February 27th  we will host our Annual Jog A Thon.  Parents are welcome to come cheer us on as we jog.  Kindergarten will be jogging around 8:15 the morning of the 27th.  Plan to join us.  It is always a fun month and we are so grateful to all the parents who help support us and LFCS in this project.  Go to the link below to sign up and send out your 10 emails.  Instructions with how you can participate will go home Monday.  You just need to send out 10 emails to friends and family who would be willing to donate to our school. 

Those students who send out 10 emails or do the buyout can participate on the giant slide day February 19th here at school. You can use the QR code sent home in the paperwork or this link to sign up

Homework: Due to the short weeks in the next few weeks I will pass out folders on Monday the 9th and will not collect them until Friday the 20th.  You will have two weeks to complete the homework.  Make sure to practice sight words and read every day.

Winter Break – February 13th – 17th is our Winter Break. No school on those days.  School resumes Wednesday Feb 18th. 

Jog A Thon – Friday, February 27th,  More details to come but plan to come join us first thing in the morning.  Fund raiser begins February 9th
