Parents,

It is hard for me to believe this is my last weekly email to you.  The year has been so fun and I have enjoyed working with your child for the past 180 some days.  They have learned so much and I will miss them dearly. 

This week will be full of enjoying time with our friends and reflecting on memories from our year.  We even are making ice cream this week in celebration of summer. 

Our last day is special in Kindergarten at LFCS.  We have what we call a Kindergarten Farewell and we invite the parents to be part of it.  Below are the details for the day. 

Kindergarten Farewell: Our last day of Kindergarten, Thursday June 18th, comes with mixed emotions.  It is great to celebrate all we have learned but bitter sweet to say Goodbye.  As is the tradition at Literacy First we like to invite the parents to come for the last day.  You will be joining us in our regular morning routine as well as share our Awards Ceremony where every child will be given an award for something they have contributed to our class this year.  Due to space limitations we ask that only 2 adults attend per child.  At the end we will share our Memory Boxes and a class slideshow with some fun treats.  This is a short day for us. My class comes from 8:00-9:30. Students are asked to come to school in their uniforms and do not need a backpack or snack that day.   Please mark your calendar for this special day and plan to join us.  Students will go home at 9:30 on this day.
