Minnesota requires districts to develop and evaluate principals and teachers to improve leadership and instruction, as well as to increase student learning and success. (Minn. Stat,, §§ 123B.147 and 122A.40, Subd. 8, and § 122A.41, Subd. 5).
Beginning in December of 2020, and proceeding throughout the spring of 2021, a team comprised of district teachers and leaders met, under the faciliation of consultants from our education cooperative, Sourcewell, to review and revise our teacher development and evaluation plan.
