Dress Code

1. Students enrolled in the Vocational Services through Special Education must follow all school dress code regulations as described in the student handbook.

  • For safety reasons, shirts must be tucked in and pants, which have belt loops, must be worn with a belt.

  • Sweats, stretch shorts, short shorts, T-shirts with logos, cut off shorts, and flip-flops are not permitted.

  • No shoes with open toes may be worn to the job site.

  • The dress code may be modified as needed due to additional dress restrictions or safety requirements on individual job sites (i.e. wear hair net when working around food, no shorts in office settings, safety goggles in restricted area, etc.)

  • Students who attend school and are dressed inappropriately for their job site will not be allowed to participate off campus that day. Students who are retained on campus will participate in regular classroom activity. Their grade for the day will be reflective of the dress code violation.

  • The student agrees and understands that while in Vocational Services the student will adhere to any training site regulations on dress.
