About Me

Welcome!  2023-24 is my 27th year in teaching and my ninth here at Rouse High School. I'm excited to continue this adventure as a Rouse Raider!  I am a native Austinite, graduated from Bowie High in south Austin and then went to Baylor University to get my degree in education.  I started teaching in Mesquite ISD in the Dallas area and while there earned a master's degree in Teaching Mathematics at UTD. I came back home and taught in the area at Liberty Hill and Lake Travis High Schools.  I have taught many levels of math at the secondary level, and just this past summer had the opportunity to be an AP Reader (grader) for AP Stats. I have also loved coaching the math UIL teams for many years, and am excited in building this young enthusiastic team. When I'm not teaching, my 13-year old son Brayden and our dog Murphy keep me busy.  I live in Cedar Park with my family; we are members of Hill Country Bible Church and love playing games, watching sports, swimming, and traveling when we get the chance, especially to Disneyworld!
