Hi everyone! My name is Traci Kline. I'm a graduate from Texas A&M University and this will be my 20th year teaching. I began my teaching career here at Steiner Ranch Elementary. I taught 2nd grade for 5 years and this will be my 15th year teaching 1st grade. I am looking forward to another great year teaching 1st grade!
This year I look forward to building character and a community of learners using Restorative Practices and Kagan techniques. I would like to create a warm and inviting classroom that we build together as a 1st grade family. I also look forward to challenging our minds in math, reading/phonics, science and social studies. Reading is such a huge part in all of our learning, and I hope to really give all my students a chance to take off and love reading this year.
I am also proud to say that I am a native Texan and I grew up right here in Austin, Texas. This is such a beautiful city and great place to live. When I'm not here at school you can usually find me at a sporting event, playing golf, outdoors, or just spending time with family and friends. I love being outside enjoying the city.
I am so excited for this new year ahead of us, especially since my experiences here at Steiner have been so wonderful. I look forward to all the great things that we will learn and accomplish this year, and getting to know you all!
